Instructions to submit your abstract
Abstracts must be prepared as a PDF file for electronic submission. The submission is done via CMT conference management service, please follow the instructions below. Proofread your abstact and make sure to follow the template and guidelines. We recommend that you read the CMBE Publishing Policy.
- Authors are strongly recommended to use the LaTeX template to prepare their abstract. A MS Word (LibreOffice) template is also available. Download either of the following templates to prepare your abstract:
- All submissions should be in PDF format. If you are using the LaTeX template, build your abstract in PDF format for submission. If you are using the MS Word template, you will need to convert your abstract to a PDF file before submission. You can either use Adobe Acrobat to print to PDF, the Microsoft Office Add-in Save as PDF, or any open source PDF converter (such as PDFlite, virtual PDF printers, etc.). If you are using office applications such as LibreOffice or OpenOffice, they come with a feature to export files to PDF.
Abstract Length & Guidelines
The conference committee will only consider abstracts addressing topics of substantial current interest, in accordance with the scope of the conference. The abstract must present an overview of recent and/or original work, and must not be "in the same format" under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Abstract should be between 2 to 4 pages in length, including all figures and references. `Overlength' submissions will NOT be reviewed. This includes papers where the margins and formatting are deemed to have been significantly altered from those laid down by the style guide and templates provided. Pay particular attention to formatting instructions if you are using the MS Word template!
CMBE Policy on Submission & Acceptance
Single-blind review: CMBE operates a single-blind peer review process, where papers are reviewed by members of the committees and session (mini-symposia) organisers. The conference chairs and permanent editorial board reserves the right of final decision on acceptance or rejection of papers. Please also refer to CMBE Publishing Policy.
All accepted contributions which are submitted by the camera-ready submission deadline will be published in the CMBE proceedings in both print and electronic format (see CMBE Proceedings), on the understanding that one of the authors has registered before the early bird registration deadline. Final acceptance of papers for presentation is thus conditional on one of the authors registering on or before the early bird registration deadline. Authors will be invited to submit full length papers to a special issues of the Wiley journal ‘International Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering’.
Unless otherwise stated, submissions are limited to ONE paper per registered participant (first or presenting author). Registrants can however be co-authors on several papers. If you wish to submit more than one paper for presentation (first or presenting author), please contact us for extra paper fees.
The conference will be in English and all papers should be prepared in English.
Your submission can be considered for a particular session (mini-symposium), a standard session or a poster presentation. When submitting your paper, you will need to indicate for which `track' you wish to submit your abstract.
